Lielauce Lake is rich in  many species of fishes. It is also surrounded by marsh which is nature preserve. There is a plank-way leading from the Lielauce castle to the lake’s shore. The lake is popular among fishermen and birds-watchers. Nature friends have appreciated the floating cabins of the lake that gives an excitement about picturesque view. There are also boats, tables, shelter and a campfire site with a boiler for fish soup at the JSC “Latvijas valsts meži” boat station.

Ķevele Springs

Nine seperate springs are coming out from the 4m deep and 6m wide ravine and forward seven of them on their way flows together, making one stream. Each spring own special taste and each of them can heal certain illness. The legend goes that during the Gret Northern war Latvian healer cured the king of Sweden Carl XII while the educated court doctors could not help and therefore arethe springs are called the King’s springs.

Dobes hills are formed by a 2 km long hillock. Castle Mound Incēni (Dobes) are situated in Kokmuiža. The castle mound Incēni was first mentioned in the written dokuments in 1272 in the agreement of Semigallia Division Act. It is believed that there had been the ancient centre of Dobe region and the main fortification. Mežakalns rises opossite the Incēni castle mound.

Nature Preserve „Ukru gārša”

Nature Preserve „Ukru gārša” is remarkable with its variety of biotrope, old oak trees and richness in rare species of birds. This restricted area protects forest habitats, animals and plants.Here is created a route „Nature and wood knowledge path” where you can get acquainted with trees, different kind of plants and nature with the help of the guide.  Excursions are guided and booking is requested in advance.

Lake Sesava

Located at Auce- Īle- Dobele road. A good recreation place for everyone who loves nature and silence. The lake is rich in fish, and it is an excellent recreation area for nature lovers. The Lake Sesava is charming with its beautiful landscape.Recreation site of state stock company "Latvijas Valsts meži" has been established here.From the lake flows out Sesava river - one of the two in Zemgale.

Lake surrounded by woods and hills.There is a rest area on the shore. Castle Mound can be seen on the opposite side of the lake. Booking in advance requested for a longer stay at the lake.

Castle mound  is about 30 metres high and the slope of the hill is very steep - about 45 degrees. The Castle Mound was inhabited from 9th till the 13th centuries. Supposedly, it was the centre of the Spārnene terrain.
